Happy Birthday, Impulse!
Impulse Productions will celebrate its 11th Birthday this October, 2008!
Impulse would like to heartily thank the many artists and professionals who have given so generously of their time and expertise to support our productions, publications, competitions and exhibitions! It wouldn't be possible without all of you! Thank you for helping us to continue to raise funds for the arts and education and celebrate young artists!
We've been busy!
Our achievements over the last 11 years include:
3 promotional videos, successfully used for fundraising purposes for education and community organizations, and publicly broadcast in Boston, MA and Seattle, WA
4 books of youth poetry/photography, published in Seattle, WA
4 live shows in public venues in Seattle, WA
5 art exhibitions in public venues in Seattle, WA
72 public expositions/competitions of youth project work in fine art, marketing, fashion and photography with industry professionals serving as mentors/judges
180 broadcasts of youth-produced television shows
268 opportunities for youth to shine! Wow!
Congratulations to all of the young Impulse Artists and many thanks to all of our Impulse Judges/Mentors and funders who have made this possible!
Internships Needed for Impulse Artists/Designers!
In 2009, we are looking forward to expanding even further, to include more concentrated fundraising efforts and a greater number of shows in public venues in Seattle, WA.
We also have a goal of connecting at least 5 young artists/designers with workplace internships in which they can get an even closer inside look at creative careers: if you know of someone who would be interested in placing a young Impulse Artist, please contact us, and we'll set up a meeting! We are open to any and all businesses who deal with marketing, fashion merchandising, photography, video or fine art!
